2026 – The Year Of The Word

Topic: God’s Word: The Essence of His Name

Scripture Reading:
Psalms 138:2
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Key Thought:
The Word of the Lord is the seal of power upon His name.

Today’s Message:
God’s Word is the greatest gift He has given to humanity, and also the greatest gift He receives. Scripture declares that He has exalted His Word above all His name. This does not mean that God does not honour His name , He does. But it reveals that His Word is supreme. It stands above every title, every revelation, and every expression of His identity.

The Word of God here is not merely the logos, the written record given to help us understand God’s mind and ways. Beyond the written text is the substance and essence of God’s Word. It is the living Word, the Person of Jesus Christ.

The Bible tells us that the Word was God (John 1:1). This reveals that God and His Word are inseparable. His Word carries His essence, His authority, and His life. It means that Christ is the actual revelation, the weight and authority behind the names of the Lord.

Jesus Himself said, “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63). God’s Word is spiritual substance. It is the crown upon everything that appears great in heaven and on earth.

In the Old Testament, our fathers encountered God in diverse ways and gave Him names such as Elohim, Ebenezer, and Jehovah Jireh, each name reflecting a dimension of His nature. Yet God Himself declares that above all these names, His Word still stands supreme. His Word substantiates them all.

And remember, the Word is Christ Himself.

This means that although realities in heaven and on earth are expressed through names, true benefit comes when you find Christ in the Word. Christ is the center of it all.

So when you face difficult situations and feel overwhelmed, turn to the Word, not merely to letters on a page, but to the living Word. God’s essence is in His Word. He releases His Word to those who fear Him, honour Him, and reverence Him. He gives His Word, and He also receives His Word.

Beloved, access to divine strength, clarity, and victory is found in finding and coming to Christ through His Word.

Prayer:
Father, I thank You for Your Word this morning. I ask that You grant me access into Your Word. Help me to see Christ in Your Word, and fill my heart with the revelational knowledge I need for my life and for my generation. Let Your Word shape me, guide me, and establish me in truth, in Jesus’ name.

Declaration:
I walk in light.
I walk in understanding.
I walk in wisdom.
My heart is receptive to what the Lord speaks to me per time.
I come into deeper understanding of who Christ is.
God’s Word is alive in me.
I live by revelation and not confusion.
