THE SENT WORD DAILY DEVOTIONAL

(ABC Global Daily Devotional)

2026- The Year Of The Word

Date: 20th February 2026

Topic: Pray So You Do Not Faint

Scripture Reading:

Luke 18:1 (KJV) — “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.”

Proverbs 24:10 (KJV) — “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.”

Key Thought:
Prayer is not only for answers; prayer is the system God designed to sustain a man’s strength.

Today’s Message:
A challenge does not overpower a man because it is too great; it overpowers him because his strength is small.

Scripture makes it clear: if you faint in the day of adversity, it is a revelation of insufficient strength. The problem is not always the battle, sometimes the problem is the absence of spiritual preparation.

Men faint because they lack consistent prayer.

Jesus instructed that men ought always to pray and not to faint because prayer is the divine antidote to spiritual exhaustion. Prayer generates strength before adversity arrives. A man who prays consistently is storing energy for seasons of pressure.

In the place of prayer, you tap into power and life. Prayer is not merely a platform for presenting requests; it is the channel through which heaven sustains a man. Prayer keeps the spirit alive, the heart steady, and the mind aligned with God.

Many people only pray when trouble comes, but prayer is not meant to be an emergency response. Prayer is a support system. It is the daily supply line between heaven and earth.

A praying man may still face adversity, but he will not faint because strength has already been built in secret. When pressure comes, what has been generated in prayer becomes visible in endurance.

Prayer is not just to escape battles; it is to outlast them.
Prayer is not just to receive miracles; it is to remain standing.

Pray; not only for answers, but for strength.
Pray because life is sustained in fellowship with God.

Pray without ceasing. Pray individually and corporatively.

Prayer:
Father, teach me to remain consistent in the place of prayer. Strengthen my spirit so that I will not faint in the day of adversity. Let prayer become my daily lifeline and support system. Fill me with divine strength and sustain me by Your power, in Jesus’ name.

Declaration:
I do not faint because I pray.
Strength is generated in my life through fellowship with God.
I draw power and life from the place of prayer.
I am sustained, strengthened, and established by God.
I stand strong in every season
