“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
Key Thought:
To fully please the Lord is not merely to avoid wrongdoing, but to live intentionally in alignment with His will, character, and purpose. God is pleased by those who intentionally walk with Him daily, not occasionally.
Today’s Message:
Colossians 1:10 reveals God’s ultimate expectation for the believer’s life: not partial obedience, not seasonal devotion, but a walk that is fully pleasing to the Lord. To walk worthy of the Lord, and fully pleasing him is the natural outcome of spiritual understanding and divine wisdom (Col. 1:9). Pleasing God is not about religious activity alone; it is about alignment, living in a way that reflects God’s nature, purposes, and pleasure.
To walk worthy fully pleasing to the Lord means our daily conduct must correspond with the identity we carry in Christ. The believer’s life is designed to be a continual expression of God’s pleasure on the earth.
Scripture makes it clear that pleasing God flows from a worthy walk, a lifestyle shaped by obedience, productive in good works, and marked by continual spiritual growth. Pleasing the Lord is not a momentary experience; it is a lifelong posture governed by divine understanding.
Enoch stands as one of Scripture’s clearest portraits of a life that fully pleased God. Hebrews 11:5 testifies, “Before he was taken, he had this testimony, that he pleased God.” Enoch’s approval did not stem from public exploits or recorded achievements, but from consistent fellowship and unwavering obedience. His walk with God was so aligned that heaven received him without the experience of death, revealing that intimacy and consistency are central to a life that truly pleases the Lord.
Jesus is the perfect pattern of pleasing the Father. Jesus said in John 8:29, “I always do those things that please Him.” Christ lived entirely for the Father’s pleasure. Even in the face of suffering, He chose obedience over convenience (Luke 22:42). His life shows that full obedience attracts divine approval and eternal impact.
Therefore, pleasing God is not an abstract spiritual ideal; it is a daily, intentional pursuit. When our walk aligns with our calling, our fruit validates our faith, and our knowledge of God continues to deepen, heaven bears witness that God is truly pleased.

Father, align my heart, my walk, and my desires with Your will. Let my life bring You full pleasure and lasting glory. Amen.

I declare that I walk worthy of the Lord. My life is fully pleasing to Him in thought, word, and action. I bear fruit in every good work, and my life glorifies God. I grow daily in the knowledge of God, walking in divine wisdom and spiritual understanding. My life is aligned with heaven’s purpose, and the Lord is well pleased with me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
