ABC GLOBAL DAILY DEVOTIONAL
2026 – The Year of the Word
Date: 15th January 2026
Topic: Capacity Determines the Weight You Can Carry
Scripture Reading:
Jude 1:20 (NKJV)
“But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.”
Proverbs 24:10 (NKJV)
“If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.”
Key Thought:
Destiny is weighty; only men with capacity can bear it.
Today’s Message:
The capacity you have determines the weight you carry.
God does not adjust destiny to fit men; He builds men to carry destiny.
Destiny is not light. Assignment is not casual. Calling is not cheap. Many collapse, not because destiny is wrong, but because capacity is small. Scripture reveals that fainting in adversity is evidence of insufficient strength (Proverbs 24:10).
Capacity is built, not wished for. Jude gives a direct spiritual instruction to the church that must carry destiny: “Build yourselves.” This means capacity is a responsibility for which you must be intentional about. And Interestingly, God has also provided a system for building it, praying in the Holy Spirit (Jude 1:20).
If you must build capacity, you must pray in the Holy Ghost.
If you must survive seasons, you must build strength.
If you must not be overwhelmed by pressure and fear, you must be spiritually fortified.
Before David carried the weight of kingship, he built capacity in obscurity. In the wilderness, tending sheep, he confronted lions and bears (1 Samuel 17:34–37). No crowd applauded him. No throne awaited him yet. But capacity was being formed.
When Goliath appeared, a national-level problem, David did not collapse under the weight because his capacity had already been built in secret. The same faith and strength he developed in the private became sufficient for his public victory. Saul’s armor could not help him; David’s inner strength did. Destiny met preparation, and capacity carried the assignment.
David did not rise because the battle was small; he rose because his capacity was strong.
The capacity you build today in the Holy Ghost will help you break through all seasons, not some seasons, ALL SEASONS.
Destiny is weighty. Only those with capacity can bear it.
Prayer:
Lord, I receive grace to build capacity. I refuse to faint under pressure. Strengthen me by Your Spirit, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Declaration:
I am built by the Holy Ghost.
I carry destiny without collapse.
My strength matches my assignment.
