ABC GLOBAL DAILY DEVOTIONAL
2026 – The Year Of The Word
Date: January 10th, 2026
Topic: Maturity—Aligning With the Heart of the Father
Scripture Reading:
Isaiah 30:21 – Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left.
Key Thought:
We cannot pray according to God’s will until we diligently discover what is in the heart of the Father, and submit to it in all humility; this is the true measures of spiritual maturity.
Today’s Message:
Prayer that aligns with God’s will does not begin with words, but with understanding. Until we discover what is in the heart of the Father, our prayers may not be according to his will, even if it is sincere.
Scripture reminds us that there are things that come behind and things that lie at the forefront of God’s heart. Spiritual maturity is the ability to discern what is at the forefront of the Father’s heart and align with it.
The scriptures reveals two core versions of peters life and walk of faith; the immature and mature version.
Jesus once said to the immature Peter who left his divine mandate and went afishing: when you were younger, you dressed yourself and went where you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands and others will gird you (John 21:18). He revealed the state of Peter that was not subject to divine government. A Peter that was independent of spiritual guidance.
But, In 2Peter 1:12, a more mature Peter prayed that believers will be established in the present truth. At this point, Peter’s priority has become to lay hold on the things at the forefront of the Father’s heart.
Destiny makes serious demands on everyone, but, it only accommodates the mature. The reason is that children can’t bear the load and weight of destiny. It is a weight that is only entrusted on the shoulders of matured sons. Children are simply led by their desires which have no bearing with destiny, but, mature sons are entrusted with divine burdens. If we really desire to walk into the things that have been written concerning us in destiny, then, like Peter, maturity is not optional, it is required.
Maturity enables us to pray beyond our emotions and momentary needs. It positions us to pray hunting for God’s will and praying accordingly.
Until we find what is in the Father’s heart, and align to it in every ramification, we will be rated in the spirit as children who are not qualified to deal on real destiny matters.
Start your walk of maturity today by finding the heart yearnings of God and laying hold of the forefront realities of God’s heart.
The hallmark of maturity is the ability to hear God’s voice and absolutely aligning to it. Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it – Isaiah 30:21
Prayer:
Father, draw my heart to you. Establish me in Your present truth and grant me grace to discern what lies ahead.
Declaration:
I walk in spiritual maturity and discernment. I hear the voice of the Lord clearly and follow His direction.
