Still in the Spirit of the New Year

It is important to understand that seasons are not merely measurements of time. Seasons are found in God, not in calendars. Time itself exists in God.

Jesus made this clear in Acts 1:7 when He told the disciples that times and seasons are in the Father’s power. Then, in the very next verse, He declared that they would receive power.

The word used here is Dunamis—potential power. It is power that exists but has not yet been activated. It is like an inbuilt app on your phone: full of potential, yet dormant until engaged.

This truth is echoed in Ecclesiastes 3:11:
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.”

One potent way this divine potential is activated is through prayer.

Prayer is not a religious exercise; it is the engagement point of divine power. When we pray—especially in the Holy Spirit—we create the atmosphere for the supernatural. Prayer converts divine possibilities into earthly realities.

Spiritual capacity is built in the place of prayer and fasting. It takes capacity to live, thrive, and prevail in unfamiliar and challenging territories. This is why the journey of destiny can only be sustained by men and women who have embraced the altar of prayer.

Prayer:
Lord, draw me deeper into the place of prayer where power is released. Amen.

Through prayer, I am built with spiritual capacity.
