“Behold, I and the children whom the Lord has given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel, from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in Mount Zion.” Isaiah 8:18
THINK ABOUT THIS When God looks at His people, He doesn’t just see ordinary men and women — He sees living expressions of His glory. You are not an accident. You are not invisible. You are a divine signpost placed on the earth to reveal the reality of a living God. Isaiah declared that he and his children were for signs and wonders, meaning their very existence was meant to demonstrate God’s nature and power to their generation. The same is true for us today. In Christ, we carry His Spirit within us, and that makes our lives vessels of divine nature and the miraculous.
YOU ARE A SIGN A sign points the way to something greater. When you manifest peace during life crisis, and you demonstrate forgiveness in offence, if you keep hope in despair, it’s a pure case of you being a SIGN that God is real. Every time you choose faith over fear, love over bitterness, or joy over sorrow, you silently point others to Jesus. You may not always preach with words, but your life speaks loudly that “God lives here.”
YOU ARE FOR WONDERS A wonder is something that causes amazement. It makes people pause and take notice. When God moves through you in healing, in providing, restoring, and forgiving, the world sees a wonder. You become living evidence that what is impossible with man is possible with God. The miraculous is not reserved for a few special people. It is the birthright of every believer who walks with faith and expectation. You were created to display the extraordinary nature of a supernatural God.
You Carry His Covenant Being “for signs and wonders” means that you are a testimony of God’s covenant faithfulness. Your life is proof that God keeps His promises. Even when you walk through trials, He uses them to show His strength in your weakness. Every victory you experience is a sign, not of your greatness, but of the grace of God.
