Topic: Increasing in the Knowledge of the Lord

Scripture Reading:
Colossians 1:10 (NKJV)
“That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”

Key Thought:
Increasing in the knowledge of God is the outcome of a life that walks worthy, pleases Him, and bears fruit.

Today’s Message:
We began this series from Colossians 1:10 by considering what it means to walk worthy of the Lord. We then moved into understanding what it means to fully please Him. Yesterday, we examined the demand to be fruitful in every good work. Today, the progression culminates in its final expression: increasing in the knowledge of the Lord.

This sequence is not accidental; it is divine order. Walking worthy produces a life that pleases God. A life that pleases Him becomes fruitful. And fruitfulness creates the atmosphere where revelation and knowledge of God increase. Knowledge is therefore not the starting point, it is the reward of alignment.

The Christian life is designed for continuous increase in the knowledge of God. This increase is not accidental, emotional, or cosmetic, it is the result of a fruitful, obedient, and well-positioned spiritual life.

Colossians 1:10 reveals that as we walk worthy and bear fruit, we increase in knowledge. Revelation follows obedience. Insight follows productivity.

The Spirit of revelation is consistently attracted to those who are fruitful. Heaven commits light to men who are faithful with responsibility. Galatians 5:22 shows us that fruitfulness is not merely external works, but inward formation; Christ expressed through love, joy, peace, patience, and self-control. These fruits enlarge spiritual capacity and sharpen discernment.

Proverbs 1:17 warns against spiritual lethargy. Sleep and complacency hinder increase. God does not release insight to idle hearts. Fruitfulness requires diligence, intentionality, and responsiveness to God.

Jeremiah 17:9–10 further reveals that God measures men by fruit, not claims. The Lord searches the heart and rewards according to ways and outcomes. Fruit is proof. Fruit validates sincerity. Fruit attracts divine investment.

Beloved, the principle remains unchanging: the more you walk worthy of the Lord, the more fruitful you become; the more fruitful you are, the more you increase in the knowledge of God; and the more revelation accompanies your life

In this Year of the Word, God is not merely giving information; He is forming men. As we align, serve, and bear fruit, the knowledge of God will deepen, not as theory but as lived reality.

God is calling us beyond stagnation into growth, beyond activity into fruitfulness, and beyond information into revelation. A fruitful life sustains divine knowledge.

Prayer:
Father, cause me to walk worthy of You in every area of my life. Make me fruitful in every good work, and as I bear fruit, increase me in the knowledge of You. Let revelation follow obedience, and let my life continually grow in alignment with Your will, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
