ABC GLOBAL DAILY DEVOTIONAL

2026 – The Year Of The Word
Date: January 11th, 2026

Topic: Finding the Forefront of God’s Heart

Scripture Reading:
Romans 8:26–27
“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us… because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”

Key Thought:
Spiritual maturity is the ability to discern and align with what is foremost in God’s heart.

Today’s Message:
God has a heart, and His heart pants. Scripture reveals that God is purposeful, intentional, and deeply invested in His will being done on the earth. When Jesus was teaching the disciples to pray, He said “Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”(Matthew 6:10). The mark of maturity in a believer is how accurately he or she discerns what is presently in God’s heart and aligns with it.

It is not enough to know the will of the Father, it is also important to align with it. Jesus makes this clear in Luke 12:47, He speaks of a servant who knew of his master’s will but neither prepared himself nor acted accordingly. The servant was not ignorant but his heart posture was not aligned. He is a hearer not a doer (James 1:22-25)

This is why the Holy Spirit is not merely interested in giving us prayer points. He desires to build in us a prayer life, a life that consistently aligns with the Father’s heart. Prayer points address moments; A prayer life shapes destiny.

Many believers pray sincerely, yet miss alignment. They speak often, but listen little. Mature prayer is not driven by personal urgency alone; it is governed by divine priority. When a believer grows, prayer shifts from “Lord, do this for me” to “Father, what is on Your heart in this season?”. This is the proof of sonship

Romans 8 reveals that the Holy Spirit helps our weakness, not by amplifying our desires, but by aligning us with the will of God. He intercedes according to God’s will, not according to human emotion. This is the ministry of maturity: yielding our voice so heaven can speak through us.

The forefront of God’s heart is always revealed through His Word. God does not hide His priorities; He reveals them to those who seek His face, not just His hand.

In this Year of the Word, God is calling His people beyond prayer activity into prayer alignment. When our prayers mirror His heart, God is pleased and everything else falls into place.

You have not truly matured in prayer until your desires begin to echo His.

Prayer:
Father, align my heart with what is foremost in Your heart. Teach me to pray according to Your will. Amen.

Declaration:
My prayer life is aligned with the heart of the Father.
